Chaises Nicolle
Founded in 1930, just outside of Paris, the Nicolle factory originally forged metal disks.
For the comfort of his staff, Paul-Henry Nicolle custom-designed a functional stool with a metal back rest that in 1933, he decided to officially manufacture. By 1960, wood options were introduced as well.
The company eventually went out of business in 1999, but in 2009, an industrial archeologist discovered the tools and molds that had been left abandoned, and wanting to save them from destruction, relaunched the company.
In 2019, woven loom models launched. Baptized the Lloyd Loom, created in 1917 by American inventor Marshall Burns Lloyd, made out of craft paper wrapped around a galvanized iron wire, it produces a more robust, more supple and more comfortable weave than rattan.
Crafted by hand, Chaises Nicolle chairs have a very simple, masculine design and are classic, industrial and functional.

OUR BRANDS
Love stopping by once in a while after shopping at the farmers market on Saturdays. Love everything about this store. This store has unique items with great quality from France. They always bring in new items.
I visited this store because what I wanted was made in France ( and they had it). That said, it amazes how many other "made in France" items they have; houseware, kitchenware and other products for your home...think "Cost plus" but only originating from France and smaller.
